First Knitting Project

When Nathan's Mom was in town for Christmas, she began teaching me how to knit! She was absolutely inspirational, and spoiled me by buying me a ton of knitting items!

I'm excited to announce that I finished my first cowl/scarf! I used my circular needles and a soft yarn that was easy to use. It's not perfect and it's a little twisted, but honestly, I love it! If anything, I would have made it a little bit longer and wider. Otherwise, I adore it! My first knitted project turned out better than I thought it would! :)

Woohoo!!

I am so excited to start some other projects! I have been pinning tons of ideas on Pinterest of course! :)

Here is what I would like to knit next - Coffee cozies! There are so many different patterns and styles! These coffee cozies below are simple but beautiful!

Do you knit? What are some of your favorite knitting projects?

Post-Christmas

Christmas is officially over :( However, the holiday was absolutely amazing! The only downfall was that the weekend went by way too quickly! Nathan's parents were able to come down and celebrate Christmas with us, which made it even more special! We all had a blast playing games, hanging out, and trying new things.

Nathan's Mom recently started knitting, so she taught me what she has learned so far! I love learning new things, especially being able to make things! I cannot wait till I learn more and get better so I can make scarves, coffee coozies, hats, etc.!

Kay, Steve and I went to Painting with a Twist on Saturday! Unfortunately, Nathan had to work so he wasn't able to join us. Painting with a Twist is a place to go with family and or friends (or even just by yourself) to paint a picture with an instructor there to help guide you. It's also great because you can bring wine or other beverages, and have a great time painting with friends!

We're excited and ready to paint (and drink wine)!!

Ta Da!!

I highly recommend checking out Painting with a Twist! It's fun for people of all ages! This was my second experience painting, and I am happy with how my painting turned out! I'm not experienced at all with painting, but the instructors do such a great job explaining, showing, and helping everyone in the class.

Before we went to Painting with a Twist, I took Kay and Steve to one of my favorite restaurants in Knoxville, The French Market Creperie.

The nutella crepe with fresh strawberries inside :)

A group "selfie" or "groupie" of the four of us, ending our Christmas holiday together.

I hope everyone had just as much of an amazing holiday as I did! I'm truly blessed to have such a wonderful family! <3
