Goodbye 2013!

Happy New Years Eve!

It's time to say goodbye to 2013, and time to welcome 2014! This has been a busy year, and as I always say, it has gone by way too fast! I've been consumed this past year with school, and Nathan has been super busy with work.

Some of our highlights in 2013:

*Celebrated our 3 year anniversary of living in our house
December -

*Road tripped to Kansas City, MO to spend time with family
*Got to visit downtown Kansas City, and experience the Plaza holiday lights!
*Learned to make chocolate covered popcorn; candied pecans, french cakes, and chocolate covered ritz peanut butter sandwiches :)
*Celebrated Christmas & was spoiled rotten!!

Now that 2014 is around the corner, I've been contemplating different resolutions. We already have a few "trips" planned out for this May and June, which will be here before we know it!
In May my best friend is getting married in Alabama! Then in June, Nathan's good friend is getting married in Kansas City!

For 2014, I plan on "graduating" from Strayer with my associates degree in business administration. I also hope to find a more successful job with my degree. Once I am able to settle down with a good job, I hope to continue with school to finish my BBA.

So far, those are the major plans I am focusing on for 2014. I'm sure I will have other plans and goals come to light with New Years tomorrow.   :)

I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful New Years Eve & New Years Day! Enjoy!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Enjoy the beautiful song "Something about December" by Christina Perri

(Zona Rosa)

Nathan and I had the opportunity to head back to Kansas City and spend some time with his parents for a week! The time went by way too fast, but we had an amazing time. It was the first time I have been in town during the holiday season. Kansas City does Christmas right with beautiful lights all over the plaza and gigantic Christmas trees!

My favorite activity was making delicious desserts with Kay!

I can't wait to make some more of these treats! They are so yummy! I feel pretty honored to have been taught how to make all these desserts! :)

Nathan got to spend some quality time with his Dad. By quality time, I mean working their butts off by installing hardwood floors and tiles! Between the two of them, they did an incredible job! They even had time to have some fun! ;)

(Here they are playing scrabble at Restoration Hardware downtown on the plaza)

Now we are back home, getting ready for Christmas day tomorrow! I hope you all have a glorious Christmas holiday!!

WISHING YOU A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Post Birthday

Thanks for all of the Birthday love and wishes! I had such an awesome Birthday!

For my Birthday, Nathan and I went shopping at the outlet mall in Pigeon Forge, put up Christmas decorations, made more runzas, attempted to decorate a gingerbread house, and watched my favorite Christmas movie - Elf!

The day after, we walked downtown and got coffee at one of my favorite coffee shops! Needless to say, it's been great being another year older!

Delicious runzas!

Our gingerbread house decided to crumble before we could finish decorating it -

I am completely in the Christmas spirit! :)
