DIY Chalkboard Cheese Plate

Y'all know how much I love making DIY projects - especially with items purchased from the Dollar Tree.

These silver trays are adorable as is, but I thought it would be fun to turn them into chalkboard painted cheese plates!

I already had the chalkboard spray paint and the blue painters tape. All I had to do was spend $1 on the silver tray.

I taped the edges:

Then I spray painted the chalkboard paint:

It turned out so cute! My handwriting, however, is not so cute - especially with using regular chalk. Have y'all seen those chalk markers - you know I want those!! I have them on my stocking-stuffer list for Christmas!    ;)

You can use the chalkboard tray for other things, not just as a cheese plate. Another use I would use it for would be to put magnets on the back and stick it to the fridge and write down my grocery lists!

As I mentioned previously, I'm excited for Fall season, and Football! I started making some cute jewelry with the University of Tennessee Volunteers colors! :p
To hold my beads, I used another silver tray that I bought from the Dollar Tree!

See that creeper cat watching me? Haha!

Have I mentioned how much I love Knoxville?! You can be living in the "city" while still feeling like you are living in the "country."
If I could convince all my friends and family to move here, I would!

We have a friend here that has pet chickens! It was my first encounter with chickens, and it was kinda hilarious!

There have been some really beautiful evening skies here lately too...

As much as I love sunsets, I still prefer to watch the sunrise!

QUESTIONS:

*Do you prefer sunrises or sunsets?

* Would you have "pet" chickens?

* Have you made any DIY projects lately? Show me!
